As current Region 3 Representative on the Illinois Probation and Court Services Association Executive Board, I, Tod Dillard, am seeking re-election. For the past 18 years, I have been employed in the probation and court services field, making it a personal goal to promote the profession of community corrections within my own community and at the state level. After graduating from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois in 1989, I began my career in Cass County as a probation officer, working with both adult and juvenile offenders, and then moved to Morgan County as an adult officer. As a line officer in Cass and Morgan Counties, I was able to experience all facets of probation, including various levels of offenders, report writing, investigations, intakes, field work, and case supervision. In 2000, I returned to Cass County to serve as their Chief Probation Officer for three years, until I assumed my current position, in 2003, as the Director of Court Services in Morgan County. Through my work in administration and receiving a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Illinois in Springfield, I have gained an understanding of what it takes to run a thorough department and deal with the important issues that can arise in relation to staff, budgets, data collection, quality assurance, and collaboration. I firmly believe in and support the current direction of our profession, particularly in the area of Evidence Based Practices. In my administrative role, I have worked diligently to create opportunities for my staff and myself to grow professionally, ultimately aiming at better outcomes for the population we serve. As your Region 3 Representative, I strive to accurately express the views and interests of this region and I make every effort to provide you with current information regarding the status of the Association and in the field of probation. As your current Region 3 Representative and as a member of the Illinois Probation and Court Services Association, I feel it is important to strive toward more collaboration upon all levels of the Association working toward the same goals of professional excellence. For those who already know me, they will testify to my willingness to work tirelessly to promote the vision and ideals of IPCSA. For those who do not know me, I look forward to meeting you in Collinsville, Illinois. I will make myself available to answer any questions you might have regarding my thoughts and interests. I hope to gain your support in continuing my tenure as Region 3 Representative and equally as important, thank you for your continued support during my current term. Tod Dillard |

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a candidate for Treasurer of IPCSA. I have worked in McLean County Adult Probation for nearly nine (9) years. I began as a Graduate Assistant in the Intake Unit, assumed a full time Supervision Officer position in 1999, transferred to the Presentence Investigation Unit for three (3) years, and then to my current position of Domestic Violence Officer. As you can see, I have had a variety of positions in probation, and all of these jobs have helped shape the officer and person I am today. I am excited to be a nominee for Treasurer, and want to give thanks to Andy Ceresa, Putnam County, for the nomination. It means a great deal to have someone’s faith, trust, and confidence in me to hold such a position. Around my office, people joke that if you want to find a bargain or get great stuff for cheap, you need to talk to me. Although they are joking, there is a matter of truth to it that I pledge to bring to IPCSA if elected as Treasurer. For example, for the Spring 2007 Conference held in Bloomington, myself and the donations team were able to stretch the allotted $500 provided by IPCSA for the prize raffle and bring in a record amount of ticket sales. In times when money is tight, nothing is free, and costs are rising, I pledge to effectively, efficiently, and intelligently budget the funds of the Association while still providing the level of excellence that has been done in the past. Thank you for your consideration in electing me Treasurer. I look forward to the challenges ahead, meeting new colleagues, and strengthening IPCSA. Nicole Tennison |

My name is Kim Becker and I am asking for your support to continue in my position as Secretary for the Executive Board of IPCSA. I have been in Probation for 25 ½ years serving the last 11 ½ years as CMO of Lee County Probation. Prior to my promotion as Chief Managing Officer, I was a juvenile probation officer in Lee County for 14 years. My involvement with IPCSA began 1981. I was a member of the Resource Committee and later became co-chair of the committee from 1992 -1998 with the responsibility of securing vendors for our conferences. I also served as co-chair of the CMO Committee from December, 2004 to December, 2006. I received the S. William Ettinger Award in 1994 and the Gene Hughes Award in 2004 from the Association. At the Spring Conference of 2006, I was selected by the Executive Board to fill the secretary vacancy on the Board. In addition to my duties as secretary, I am the Executive Board’s JDAI Liaison to the IPCSA Detention/JDAI Committee and to the JDAI Partners Group. Being a part of IPCSA has allowed me to collaborate with my colleagues and court service professionals and gain valuable information regarding issues that face our profession. If re-elected to the Executive Board, I will continue to actively represent our membership and promote the good work done by our profession. I look forward to seeing everyone at the fall conference in Collinsville. If you have any questions for me or would like to discuss any issues, please feel free to contact me at any time.
