Annual
Plan for 2005
The Membership Committee continues to look
into the future and find ways to best serve IPCSA as a whole. We have
finished a video project that has captured the essence of the Association
and the types of people that it represents. We are reaching out to the
newest members of our profession in an attempt to show them how the
Association can best serve them. Even through the budget issues of the past
couple of years, this committee has continued to think about the individual
member and how each of us make-up IPCSA.
James Collinett of Cook County was gracious
enough to devote more than a year to a video project that shows IPCSA not
just as a social avenue but as a teaching tool for all of us. He was able to
capture not only the Awards Banquets and our infamous social gatherings, but
also the training sessions that help us better serve our clients. This
committee would like to extend a huge thanks to him for his efforts.
The Membership Committee is still looking to
interest the newest recruits in probation at basic training sessions. We
have been able to talk to people that may not have any idea what IPCSA is
all about and tell them the benefits of joining the Association and
remaining a long term member.
If it were not for the membership of IPCSA
that attend conferences and keep in touch with friends from around the State
of Illinois, IPCSA would not be what it has become. It takes all of us to
continue to remain involved in the Association that will only make it
stronger for the future. It is my hope that if you want to become more
involved in IPCSA that you will find a committee that you are interested in,
and that focuses on your interests for remaining involved.
