Summary of prior committee objectives and new objectives:   

This committee is responsible for identifying, developing and executing training workshops for the Association’s annual spring and fall conferences.  We work in collaboration with the Executive Board and staff from each host circuit to plan social events for each conference and on fundraising for community service agencies in each host circuit. We also support the Association’s Executive Board by assisting in the implementation of its goals and objectives.

            The committee chairs will continue to reach out to other Association Committees to encourage their input in regards to training workshop selection(s).  We plan to target training toward specialized caseloads, populations and programs through this collaboration and in line with Evidenced Based Practices. It is the goal of this committee to strike a balance between local and national training experts who can present both the Illinois and the national perspective on the state of probation and court services.

Reason(s) for Request: 

This appropriation would cover the costs associated with mailing documents and communications to each committee member and purchasing miscellaneous supplies that may be required for the efficient operation of committee functions.
