ANNUAL PLAN FOR
2006
Name of Committee:
IPCSA Specialized Services/Sex Offender
Committee
Chairperson(s)/County:
Jerry Cobetto (Madison) and Steve Goytia
(Kankakee)
Total Committee
Members: 24
Summary of prior
committee objectives:
1.
To work more in concert with
ATSA and ILATSA in reference to future trainings.
2.
To solicit and encourage
training ideas from the committee members.
3.
To solicit sex offender
articles from the committee members for Outlook.
4.
To get the committee members,
especially those from smaller/rural counties with limited funding and
resources, to look at ways to implement the sex offender management
standards and guidelines that are a result of HB 3556.
5.
To get the committee to compile
statistics with regard to which counties in Illinois are beginning to
implement the new sex offender management standards and guidelines that are
a result of HB 3556, and to what extent.
6.
To dialogue, as well as share
ideas with other counties in the state on how to more effectively implement
the standards and guidelines that were mentioned above.
New Objectives:
1.
To continue numbers 1, 2,
3 and 4 as stated above.
2.
To continue number 5 as well,
but I believe that on the 2006 IPCSA Spring Conference, this issue will be
(more or less) addressed at a training. [Number 6 should not be a priority
anymore due to the new standards and guidelines being implemented for around
two years or so already, and most counties being on board with it.]
Projected Budget:
$150.00 to $200.00
Reason for
Request: Incidental expenses for meetings and
mailings.
