  The Technology Committee met for the second time during the conference in Springfield. However, the members have remained in fairly consistent contact throughout the year through many emails and phone calls. This allowed for two of the committee’s annual plan goals to be met.

   committee member Eric Arnold made his presentation of Eye in the Sky: Enhanced Supervision and Case Management with Integrated Mobile Data Technology. The presentation gave an overview of the advanced technologies that are currently being using in Tazewell County.He put a lot of time and work into his presentation and did a wonderful job.I would like to thank Eric for his time and dedication to the committee and our profession.If you were unable to attend the workshop session Eric will be presenting it again at the APPA conference this July in Chicago.

  Committee member Jack Rillie from Whiteside County helped complete the committee’s second goal.Jack developed a list of all the clerks’ offices in the state that have web access.He also compiled a list of all the case management software that each county is using.He then put the information in colorful maps that were available at the registration desk during the conference.I would like to thank Jack for all of his hard work and attendance at the meeting.

    Our committee is still very small and looking for members. If you are interested or have ideas that you feel may be of interest to the committee please feel free to contact Jennifer Sullivan at jkuck@co.kendall.il.us. current goal is to work with the Sex Offender Committee to develop a workshop session for the fall conference.
